The City of Greer Police Department’s Community Outreach team celebrated Valentine’s Day at Greer Community Ministries. Officers spent time with participants of the Senior Dining Program, doing crafts, handing out valentines made by local students, and singing songs of love.

The City of Greer Public Services Department wants to let people living in Greer know about some trash collection protocols. On Tuesday, February 13th, Greer City Council unanimously approved an ordinance update aimed at regulating mobile food vendors within the city. The new regulations define mobile food units as fully enclosed mobile kitchens permitted to prepare, cook, and serve food. Among the key provisions, vendors are required to collect and remit hospitality taxes, ensure a staff member is present at the unit at all times, and refrain from operating in certain areas without city approval. Awards included promotions, special recognitions, and community citations, highlighting their everyday heroism. Additionally, the Greer Centennial Lions Club presented its Firefighter of the Year award for the second year!

Qualified organizations that coordinate activities for the specific purpose of promoting and sponsoring tourism, travel, hospitality, and cultural activities that directly benefit the City of Greer may apply for the funds.
