We’re doing a little “pre-spring” cleaning, as we like to call it! You may have noticed the Cannon Centre pond is a little low right now…that’s because our awesome groundskeeping crew is draining and cleaning the pond to prevent buildup, dispose of sunken litter, mitigate bacteria and algae, and perform liner maintenance and inspection!
🚨👉 Please be aware that this evening, our Parks, Rec., & Tourism department will be conducting a scheduled fireworks test. This fireworks testing will be a short duration, as we are testing locations for Freedom Blast 2025. Victor Park will remain the firework launching location for 2024. 🎆

On Tuesday, February 13th, Greer City Council unanimously approved an ordinance update aimed at regulating mobile food vendors within the city. The new regulations define mobile food units as fully enclosed mobile kitchens permitted to prepare, cook, and serve food. Among the key provisions, vendors are required to collect and remit hospitality taxes, ensure a staff member is present at the unit at all times, and refrain from operating in certain areas without city approval. These measures aim to enhance safety and compliance standards while supporting the thriving food truck industry in Greer. View City Council's most recent agenda: https://greer.novusagenda.com/...
