The purpose of the Hiring and Recruitment Team is to attract prospective applicants and to answer any questions they may have about the duties of members of the police department and to highlight the benefits that the City of Greer offers its employees. The team participates in career fairs at local colleges and universities and often mentors students who are trying to find what exactly they want to do in the criminal justice field.

Responsibilities
The team includes a diverse group of officers to serve in this capacity to do the following:
Create an overall recruiting plan which includes visits to colleges, high schools, and military facilities
Participate in local colleges and universities criminal justice programs/classes to share work experiences and assist students as they prepare to enter the workforce
Mentor college students
Social media advertising
And many other efforts
