We've got a small ForGreer update for you! A few weeks ago, we got our first look at what some of the materials might look like for the upcoming Depot Street Parking Garage. It’s time for another look in the Greerview as we both recap last week and look ahead with what will be going on this week in the City of Greer!
This week, we take a look back at: Officer Julius Thompson recently being sworn in to the Greer Police Department, new outdoor basketball courts coming to Stevens Field, and the recent grand re-opening of the Walmart on East Wade Hampton.
Looking ahead, we have: Greer Relief hosting a ribbon cutting at its new impact center, an update about trash pickup for this Labor Day week, and a ForGreer project update.

Public Services has given the green light and the water main issues in City Park that popped up this past Saturday have been resolved! The bathrooms closest to the amphitheater in the park are now open again. (Also, a subtle reminder of today’s Greer Farmers Market from 4:30 - 7:30 PM. The banner just happened to be at the bathroom we swear.) 😉

Heads up City of Greer residents: the City Park amphitheater stage will be closed on Monday, August 19 for staining and will reopen on Friday, August 23. There will be barricades surrounding the area while the contractor works. If all goes well and if weather permits, the stage will reopen on Friday. If the weather changes things, we’ll be sure to update you!
