Greer Middle School's seventh-grader, Kelsi Kennemore, recently had a unique opportunity to explore the inner workings of the city's administration. As part of a shadowing day, Kelsi spent time with the City of Greer's Communications team, where she gained insights into public relations strategies and community engagement efforts. She also had the privilege of meeting City Administrator Andy Merriman, and getting some good practice as what it's like to be the Mayor at our First Friday event! Kelsi's enthusiasm for community involvement extends beyond her shadowing experience; she's credited with spearheading the revival of Toads on Trade, a beloved local initiative. With aspirations to pursue a career as both an entrepreneur and a criminal defense lawyer, Kelsi's day in the heart of Greer's municipal operations marked an inspiring step toward her future ambitions!
