Collection of waste oil, household batteries, and e-waste will be stopped for now but you can still bring those items to county sites. As part of renovations to the center, the current building will be demolished and a temporary fence will be installed around the construction area at the end of the month. The Convenience Center will still be operational during this time but there will be intermittent closures depending on construction needs.

SCDOT will soon be helping Greer deal with the aftermath of Helene. They will begin their debris cleanup on Monday, October 14.
Do not wait to put your debris at the curb, as we cannot guarantee when the contracted crews will be in specific neighborhoods. It will take DOT crews several days to visit all of Greer. As these crews are working, our Public Services team will continue to operate on the schedule released earlier this week.
Please note the city will not have information on when DOT crews will be in your neighborhood, if they have already been to your neighborhood, or the routes they are running.

The City of Greer Public Services Department will follow the leaf collection map for debris pickup. They will work in each area Monday-Saturday. If crews have touched all roads in the scheduled area early, they will move on to the next area.
Please note: The city is receiving assistance with debris cleanup and those crews may not follow this schedule.
Area 1: 10/7-10/12
Area 2: 10/14-10/19
Area 3: 10/21-10/26
Area 4: 10/28-11/2
The department will reassess as they move through each area. Learn more on our loose leaf collection page:

The City of Greer is working with Greenville and Spartanburg Counties to clean up tree debris. So far, our crews have collected 136 truckloads of debris totaling 3,400 cubic yards. This process will continue until our city is cleaned up.
Here’s what you need to know:
-Put any yard debris curbside to be picked up
-Do not put any trash bags, construction materials, or other items with your debris or it will not be collected
-Place debris along the curb and out of the road (green box). We cannot guarantee our equipment will be able to reach the debris piled in your yard (red box).
We appreciate your continued patience as staff works as quickly as possible to clean up our city.
