The Greer Police Department is partnering with Chick-fil-A to help give kids in Greer a Christmas this year.
“We’ll be inside the dining room, and in the drive-through collecting toys for our Cops for Tots program,” Lt. Chris Forrester said.
The program gives out toys to children in need every Christmas season, and those coming through Chick-fil-A were able to help make that happen.
“Individuals who come through either the dining room or the drive-through and donate a toy; Chick-fil-A will be giving them a voucher and a free Chick-fil-A sandwich,” Lt. Forrester said.
This is the Police Department’s last big push for donations before handing out the toys.
“We have just over 300 kids registered for this year, so it gives us a great opportunity to partner with one of our local businesses for that,” Lt. Forrester said.
If you missed the event at Chick-fil-A, there are still plenty of ways to give this season.
“Either have an Amazon shipment sent to the police department. We have a donation box here in the lobby of the police department. You can bring monetary donations by the police department, or donate online...” Lt. Forrester said.
