neighborhood tool shed

Did you know the City of Greer has a program that offers law care supplies to residents for rental?

“For us it’s an opportunity for those in the community who may not have access to this type of equipment or they’re having issues with their equipment,” Public Services Director Travis Durham said.

Durham says the Neighborhood Tool Shed has been around now for several years.

“City residents can rent from us. Members of community groups within the city or non profit organization that are within the city are able to rent from us,” Durham said.

It’s a way to help residents keep their lawns and homes looking well kept.

“Just various different types of lawn care equipment that I think any resident would be able to take care of most of what they needed to around their home,” Durham said.

All someone has to do is contact the Public Services Department to reserve equipment.

“We have shovels we have rakes we have blowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, push mowers,” Durham said.

The program has received more traction in the past year, and Durham says he’s proud to be able to provide this option to people in Greer.

“There’s a lot of folks that we’ve found that we’re not aware of it. So having this ability or this outlet or this resource from the city for those that live in the city it’s been a positive response that we’ve seen so far,” Durham said.
