The community came together recently to celebrate Greer Relief and the new space the non-profit will use to serve people in Greer.
“We’re super excited to make sure that everybody knows what this impact means for the community,” Executive Director Caroline Roberston said.
The organization has moved from its former building downtown, to a new space on Berry Avenue.
“They’ve known where we are or maybe one other agency, but not necessarily the full package ,” Robertson said.
Executive Director Caroline Robertson says the grand opening was a great opportunity to share more about what Greer Relief does.
“Of course we’re feeding. Our neighbors were helping our neighbors in their homes were providing education,” Robertson said.
Plus new programs like drug and alcohol intervention.
“It is amazing to see transformations in such a short period of time within the lives of our community and our neighbors who are coming. It’s just beautiful,” Robertson said.
The grand opening also revealed the new space will be called the Indigo Hope Neighborhood Impact Center in a nod to one of the many agencies Greer Relief has partnerships with.
“I’m very thrilled to be able to have this opportunity to be able to expand this wonderful gift,” Robertson said.
Robertson says all of this wouldn’t be possible without a supportive community.
“And Greer we have that and we’re very blessed to live here,” she said.
