The City of Greer Railfest is chugging into town once again.
“We have the train tracks that run right through the heart of Greer. So it’s really nice to highlight that the history that Greer has with the railroad system,” Events Coordinator Emma Mann said.
Train enthusiasts can get all aboard on Saturday, September 30 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM in Greer City Park.
“It will feature a number of different train organizations and it also touch base on and really highlight railroad safety as well,” Mann said.
This event is one that appeals to train lovers of all ages.
“You’ll see a lot of grandpas that will come out with their grandchildren which is really exiting to see. They’ll definitely hit up the model trains is what I love seeing kids get to enjoy at this event,” Mann said.
And provides a day of family fun.
“We’ll have more trains inside we’ll also have trackless train rides inflatables food vendors a lot of different activities and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy,” Mann said.
