The City of Greer has been honored with the 2023 Southeast Governmental Fleet Managers Award for quality fleet management.
The award is presented annually by the Southeast Governmental Fleet Managers Association to a governmental agency whose innovative fleet management practices have improved productivity, quality, and service or produced substantial savings for their agency or department.
City of Greer Fleet Manager Chris Brantley accepted the award Sept. 12 at the SGFMA Annual Meeting in Myrtle Beach.
The award, which may be presented to one city, one county and one state agency in any year, is judged by a panel of fleet management and governmental officials who have supervised fleet repair services.
Judging is based on originality and innovation, demonstrated effectiveness of the fleet management practice, and applicability of the practice to other fleets.
