Students across Greer are back in school, and the Greer Police Department wants to make sure everyone stays safe. Sgt. Sarah Melton with the Traffic Division says drivers and parents can make a difference this year by being aware on the roads, and making sure children walking to and from school are visible, and using sidewalks and crosswalks

Greer Golf is is undergoing renovations that will make the space more useable for the entire community. All while making sure golfers can still enjoy the greens. The multi-million-dollar investment will include a new event space, underground golf cart parking, and an updated pro-shop.
Registration is open now for the City of Greer Fire Department’s Citizens Fire Academy. It's a free nine-week course designed to introduce our citizens to the functions and daily operations of the City of Greer Fire Department. The academy provides both classroom and hands-on training, offering a fun and safe behind-the-scenes look at what it means to be a firefighter. Participates will get the opportunity to tour The City’s fire stations and dispatch center, meet its firefighters and 911 personnel. During the course, participants will have a chance to wear personal protective equipment, extinguish a fire and participate on a ride-along, as well as learn CPR and home fire safety tips from professional firefighters.
