    Maker Application Requirements:

    1. 3-5 photos of your product and logo (if applicable) that may be shared through social media. Photos can be attached to this application.
     2. Photo of your complete set up.  Photo can be attached to this application.
     3. $25.00 Vendor Fee (per 10ftx10ft space) Due Upon Submission. 

    Checks payable to City of Greer; will be shredded if not accepted.

    Thank you for your interest in vending opportunities. The City of Greer hosts a variety of festivals and events throughout the year. The City of Greer is dedicated to the support of local vendors who offer local products and services.

    Product: What are we looking for?

    • Makers and their products must meet the guidelines following the definition of Artisan: a worker in a skilled trade, especially one that involves making things by hand OR food/drink made in a traditional or non-mechanized way using high-quality ingredients
    • Commercial items and direct sales will not qualify for this event
    • Makers will be accepted based on uniqueness of their product, quality of the brand they’ve created, proximity to Greer, SC, and will be considered in the order in which complete applications are received.

  6. GETTING ACCEPTED
    • Application and vendor fee must be received no later than 5:00pm on September 16, 2022 to be considered.
    • Please drop off or mail vendor fee check to Greer City Hall, Attn: Events Division, 301 E. Poinsett St., Greer SC 29651.
    • Applications will be reviewed and approved by the City of Greer Events Division. All decisions are at the discretion of the Events Staff.
  7. MAKER PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
    • Maker to provide tent, tables, and chairs. The City will provide a 10ftx10ft space per $25.00 vendor fee. No tables, chairs, or tents will be provided.
    • Each participant must remain intact and selling from 9:00am – 1:00 pm. Set up must be complete by 8:30am.
    • Electricity is extremely limited and will be provided based on need and order of application submission.
  8. SET UP TIME

    October 22, 2022 – 7:30am to 8:30am

    • Vendors may unload/load from the Poinsett St. Traffic Circle or Jason St. Traffic Circle. Please unload your items, move your vehicle to a parking space, and then set up your booth. 
    • Vendor vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas after 8:30 AM  

    No vehicles are allowed on grass or sidewalks

  9. BREAKDOWN TIME

    October 22, 2022 – After 1:00pm

    • A vehicle should never be driven into the event area until the event has officially ended at 1:00 pm
    • Vendors are responsible for leaving their area free of garbage. Boxes must be broken down before thrown away.  
  10. RAIN DATE/REFUND

    There is no rain date for the Artisan Makers Market and the event is considered rain or shine.  If weather prevents the event from taking place due to safety hazards, no refunds will be issues.

  11. MONEY HANDLING
    • All Vendors will get to keep 100% of all profits.
    • All vendors must be prepared to process payments independently (cash, credit/debit, PayPal, Venmo, ect.) and must pay relevant state and local taxes for the sale of merchandise during the event.
    • Vendors must provide their own cash boxes. Vendors are responsible for collecting and safeguarding all money. The City of Greer is not responsible for any lost or stolen money.

  13. FOOD & DRINK - INSURANCE
    • Food & Drink Makers must supply the City of Greer with a certificate of general liability insurance listing the City of Greer as an additional insured for the festival date. Any vendor not supplying this document will not be permitted to participate in the event. Coverage must be at least $1,000,000 general aggregate and $500,000 each occurrence.
  14. TAXES

    • Vendors are responsible for complying with local and state tax regulations.  If accepted, vendors must submit a copy of their South Carolina Special Event Retail License for the event date. If you do not have a Retail License for this event, please contact the SC Department of Revenue at (864) 241-1200 or (800) 768-3676.
  15. BOOTH ITEMS LIABILITY
    • Items brought on site are done so at the sole risk of the vendor. The City of Greer is not responsible for any loss, damage, or destruction of personal property, equipment, and/or valuables.
  16. BEHAVIOR OF VENDORS
    • Behavior by vendors, their family members or employees that is disruptive, abusive or threatening towards other members, the public, or staff members is prohibited. Behavior that is verbally or physically abusive, dangerous, or disruptive to Event activities also will not be tolerated, and may result in immediate termination or the vendors selling rights. 
    • Vendor will be held responsible for any and all damage that occurs to City property either by vendor, staff of vendor, or vehicle of vendor.
    • Foul or offensive language will not be tolerated at the event. Repeated violation may result in suspension from any future events at the City of Greer.
    • No open alcoholic beverages or firearms may be brought onto state property. Vendors and the vendors’ associates are not permitted to be intoxicated on site.
    • Vendors may not sell or offer any products or literature deemed offensive, or which may incite violence, crime, or disorderly conduct, or promote political viewpoints.
    • Smoking will only be permitted in festival designated smoking areas. 
    • Vendors are responsible for their children and guests at all times.
    • Vendor animals may not be present at this event at any time.
    • NO HAWKING
  17. Vendor Agreement
    1. I, the undersigned, have read all of the above guidelines governing the Greer City Park and agree to adhere to the rules that are outlined within it.
    2. I agree that everyone working in my booth will also read and adhere to the guidelines.
    3. I understand that the Events Staff reserves the right to limit or discontinue the participation of a vendor at any time.
    4. The vendor(s) agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Greer and its agents and employees from any and all claims or lawsuits for damages or injuries of any kind or nature which occur as a result of or arising out of the use of city property by the vendor(s) and the guest of the vendor(s) pursuant to this agreement
