State Office of Victim Assistance (SOVA) is an excellent resource for basic information on victim rights as well as obtaining assistance. Sova's mission is to assist eligible crime victims and their families in putting the pieces of their lives back together.
The South Carolina Victim Assistance Network (SCVAN) provides additional resources for victims. Their mission is to provide support services for victims of crime and to prevent future crimes through advocacy, education, public awareness and technical assistance.
Safe Harbor South Carolina offers a continuum of services, providing safe emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and transitional housing, as well as community outreach and teen dating violence education in Greenville, Pickens, Anderson, and Oconee counties.
Safe Homes Rape Crisis Coalition (SHRCC) provides services to victims of domestic violence in Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union Counties and victims of sexual assault in Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties.
