The City of Greer Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of sports programming designed to be both fun and informative for young people.  Participation in these programs continues to set new records each year as the parents and young athletes discover the quality of the city's sports programs and the physical and social benefits associated with participating in sports.   As a member of a team, young people develop skills needed to socialize with teammates and adult coaches, including the ability to make decisions and to accept responsibilities.  They may develop leadership skills, independence, and confidence along with a sense of accomplishment that helps lead to a positive self-image.  Physical activity brings with it several benefits including improved agility, coordination, endurance, flexibility, speed, and strength.  Please take a look at the City of Greer's youth sports list below to find a program that is right for you or your child.
