Custodial Worker (part-time)

The City of Greer is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Custodial Worker in the Recreation Department.  This part-time position is responsible for general maintenance and cleaning of assigned facilities.

Responsibilities:  Maintains facilities in a clean and orderly condition; Maintain floors to include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, cleaning carpets, buffing, waxing, etc.; Empties trash containers and keep containers clean and sanitary; Maintains restrooms in a clean and sanitary manner; replaces soap, toilet tissue, paper towels, etc.; Maintains cleanliness of walls, windows and furniture by washing, dusting, waxing or buffing; Assists in other areas as needed to complete custodial, maintenance or landscaping duties.

Job requirements: High School diploma/GED and experience in custodial or maintenance preferred.  Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license.   Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Hours:  Approximately 20 hours per week; 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. Weekend hours possible and will vary based on event schedules.

Salary:  $12.02 hour.

Events / Rentals Assistants (part-time)

Position will remain open until filled

The City of Greer is currently accepting applications for Multiple Part-Time Events Assistants in the Parks and Recreation Department.  This position will assist with the functions held at the City of Greer Events Center. 

Responsibilities:  Assists with the coordination of activities and events for the facility/park, which involves setting up, decorating and executing parties and events; assists in the preparation for the event to include renting facilities, ensuring cleanliness and that rules and regulations are followed by participants; involves repetitious lifting and moving of tables and chairs in set-up and take-down of event; Interacts with the public by providing facility/park tours, greeting visitors, providing directions; Provides information to the public regarding fees, availability and requirements for use; may assist with the coordination of the events calendar;  Maintains records and files on activities and events; Assists with Events Division inventory and related supplies and records.

Job requirements: High School diploma/GED. Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license.  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Hours:  Hours will vary depending upon schedule of events; primarily Thursday through Sunday and evenings; hours dependent on event schedules.

Salary: $11.87 hour
